In a shocking turn of events, a hidden room has been discovered at Graceland — nearly five decades after the death of Elvis Presley — and it’s already stirring major buzz among fans and historians alike.

The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll passed away in 1977, but his legacy continues to live on at Graceland, the Memphis mansion that has become a shrine for fans around the world.

Over the years, Graceland has been meticulously preserved and opened to the public, with guided tours offering a glimpse into Elvis’s private life. But now, in an astonishing revelation, preservation staff have unearthed a previously unknown room — concealed behind a wall on the second floor of the estate.

The discovery was made during a routine structural inspection and maintenance update, as part of ongoing preservation efforts to keep the historic mansion intact.

While examining floor plans and tracing unusual inconsistencies in the layout, one staff member noticed that a portion of the upstairs hallway appeared shorter than expected. Upon further investigation, a sealed doorway was uncovered behind layers of decorative paneling.

What they found behind that wall left even the most seasoned Elvis experts stunned.

The hidden room — a small but well-kept chamber — appeared to have been untouched since the 1970s. Inside were vintage furnishings, personal memorabilia, handwritten notes, vinyl records, and a guitar case with Presley’s initials engraved.

There were also a handful of Polaroid photos, none of which had ever been seen publicly, showing Elvis in more candid moments — relaxing in the hidden room with a book in hand, and in one, strumming a guitar while seated on a velvet couch.

“I’ve toured Graceland five times, and I thought I had seen it all,” said longtime fan Susan Arnold. “To know that Elvis had this secret place… it’s like he’s still with us, sharing a final piece of himself.”

The Presley Estate is already working on a detailed analysis of the room’s contents and plans to include it in future Graceland tours, though with limited access due to its delicate preservation state. There’s also talk of creating a virtual tour experience to allow fans worldwide to explore the space from their homes.

Elvis’s grandson, Benjamin Keough, who has kept a relatively low profile in the media, released a brief statement acknowledging the find. “It’s incredible to see how much more we’re still discovering about my grandfather,” he said. “This space was his — truly his — and we’re honored to share it with the world.”

For historians, the discovery also raises new questions about how much of Elvis’s personal life remains undocumented. Despite being one of the most photographed and written-about celebrities in history, this hidden room serves as a powerful reminder that even legends have their secrets.
