CEO Andy Byron spoke up, apologized to his wife and the company, and shared about the private moment that was made public and caused outrage.
The shocking affair between CEO Andy Byron and HR director Kristin Cabot is still a hot topic on social media. A clip of the two being caught being intimate at a recent Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium (Boston, USA) has spread at a dizzying speed.
Many netizens flooded the personal accounts and the company where the couple works, asking them to speak up.
This “cheat moment that can’t be hidden” is spreading at breakneck speed on social networks.
Very quickly after that, an announcement spread on social media – it was said that CEO Andy Byron had apologized, sharing his first words after his shocking scandal.
A text purported to be an apology from Andy Byron is being shared on social media.
The apology was shared quickly as the incident gained attention. However, the authenticity of this apology has not been verified.
Accordingly, in the above text, Andy Byron admitted his personal mistakes, apologized and called for respect for privacy: “I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family and the team at Astronomer. Everyone deserves better from me – as a partner, father and leader”
This is not who I want to be, nor who I want to represent the company I helped build. I am taking time to reflect, take responsibility, and determine my next steps – both personally and professionally. I ask for your privacy during this time.”
At the same time, the apology, written under the name Andy Byron, also expressed concern that a private moment was made public: “I also want to express my concern that a moment that should have been private was made public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning other people’s lives into a farce.”
However, this sharing is becoming the “focus” that makes many netizens angry, thinking that he is blaming the event for his behavior of filming and sharing private moments, instead of completely admitting his adultery.
“Expressing concern when a moment that should have been private was made public without consent – this is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard”, “Why not apologize sincerely and blame others”, “Apologizing makes you even more of a joke” ,… are comments from netizens on the X platform.
Currently, this apology is still spreading at a dizzying speed, with a series of news sites reposting this share. However, it also emphasized that the authenticity of the above apology is currently unknown. “It could be fake,” commented the Hindustan Times.
Because, after the incident exploded on social networks, Andy Byron hid/deleted his accounts.
Currently, Andy Byron or his company have not commented on the above apology. The US media has not confirmed whether this relationship has any impact on the company’s internal affairs or CEO Andy’s married life.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Byron served as President of Lacework from 2019 to 2022, and then as an interim advisor to the company. From 2017 to 2019, he served as Chief Revenue Officer of Cybereason. Additionally, Byron served as President and COO of Fuze, and held leadership positions at Vericenter and BMC Software.
Since July 2023, Byron has been CEO of Astronomer – a data infrastructure technology startup, developing the Astro platform to help businesses manage data flows and deploy AI more easily. The company’s headquarters are currently in New York.
Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron and they have two children together. Both keep a low profile on social media.

Fans erupted after the CEO of a billion-dollar company was caught cozying up to a female colleague on a Coldplay concert kiss cam.
Andrew Byron, the head of the AI startup Astronomer, was broadcast onscreen at Boston’s Gillette Stadium with his arm around the company’s HR chief Kristin Cabot during the band’s gig there Tuesday night.
They rapidly turned their backs to the camera, but their apparent awkwardness only captured the attention of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
‘Oh look at these two!’ the 48-year-old singer said mischievously. ‘Oh what? Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.’
The clip went instantly viral as fans flew into a frenzy over at the uncomfortable moment, thanking Coldplay for ‘bringing the whole internet together for one day.’
Memes abounded, as one X user posted a picture of Martin at the piano with the quip: ‘a CEO hates to see this man coming.’
‘I would like to thank Coldplay for bringing the nation together. For a day, you fixed us,’ wrote another, while a third posted an image of Fred and Wilma Flinstone in a similar pose to the one Byron and Cabot were caught in on the kiss cam.
‘Coldplay’s Cameraman is a gem!’ giggled an X user over a photo of a cameraman with Leonardo DiCaprio’s cackling face in Django Unchained.
‘Next Board Meeting at Astronomer,’ wrote another, over a still of Jonah Hill presenting a professional chart to Brad Pitt in Moneyball – only with the chart covered up by a grab of Byron with his arm around Cabot.
‘Its the most rock n roll thing Coldplays ever done,’ marveled one observer as another chortled: ‘I bet Coldplay will create a new song in honor of the couple in question.’
‘Who did it better?’ vamped an Instagram user, comparing Byron holding Cabot to Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) holding Rose (Kate Winslet) from behind in the ‘I’m flying!’ scene from Titanic.
Public records suggest both Byron and Cabot are married – but that they live at different addresses to those listed for their spouses.
Daily Mail has contacted Byron, Cabot and Astronomer for comment.
The company provides generative AI software to a number of major companies including Uber, Ford and LinkedIn.

Byron heaped praise on Cabot in a November 2024 post about her appointment to the firm.
‘Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory,’ he said.
‘She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.’
Byron became CEO in 2023, and the startup rapidly grew under his tenure including a reported 292% growth in revenue for its ‘Astro’ platform that year.
The startup has been valued at over $1 billion, and last week Byron appeared on New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) TV to celebrate the company.
Astronomer raised $93 million in its Series D round of financing, which Byron described as ‘a huge opportunity’ and ‘very exciting’ for the firm.
The concert where the pair were apparently caught out was part of Coldplay’s ongoing Music Of The Spheres World Tour.
They will next play Maddison, Nashville and Miami before heading back to the UK for a string of dates in August.

Under a gray Los Angeles sky, mourners gathered at St. Paul’s Chapel to honor Malcolm-Jamal Warner. But when Adele and Adam Lambert stepped forward, grief turned to something transcendent. With trembling hands and tear-filled eyes, they began a haunting duet of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Behind them, black-and-white images of Malcolm’s life flickered. Midway, Adam’s voice broke—Adele reached for his hand and whispered, “We’ve got you.” No applause followed, only silence and sobs.
