Whoopi Goldberg was the target of a cruel jab by Fox News host Julie Banderas after the actress slammed Donald Trump‘s $5k ‘baby bonus’ incentive on The View.
Banderas, 51, rudely joked Goldberg, 69, may struggle to find a partner who would want to ‘physically impregnate her’ after the Ghost star expressed offense over Trump’s proposal.
She expressed relief as she added ‘Thank God she did not do IVF.’
In reality, Goldberg has daughter Alex Martin, 51, a filmmaker and actress, with her ex-husband Alvin Martin.
The brutal remark arose on Wednesday’s episode of Outnumbered, after the show played snippets of Goldberg’s criticism over the proposed plan.
Kayleigh McEnany weighed in sarcastically after clips of Goldberg’s remarks played, ‘I mean Julie, isn’t she such a lovely person?’

‘Isn’t she lovely?’ Banderas replied. ‘Such a shame she’s not a mother. I feel like she would have been the best role model.
‘Thank God she did not do IVF, because I don’t think she’d find somebody to actually physically impregnate her, is what I’m trying to get at there,’ she said.
DailyMail.com has contacted Fox News for comment regarding the remarks.
On Wednesday’s episode of The View, Goldberg discussed the incentives being proposed to encourage more women to have children – and was not shy about showing her aversion to the possible program.
‘So as birth rates continue to decline in America, the White House is looking into offering $5,000 cash bonuses, expanded access to IVF, along with other incentives for women to have more babies,’ Whoopi said with a tight grin.
‘I am incredibly insulted by this because clearly they don’t know how women’s bodies work,’ she said. ‘And they don’t know what it costs to raise a child or just have a child.
‘And $5,000!? I don’t know what $5,000 is supposed to do. And it’s not even $5,00 cause you have to cut it in half cause you gotta pay taxes on it. So they’re offering you $2,500!’ she said before sarcastically clapping. ‘To have a baby! Now don’t forget about all the stuff they’ve cut.
‘Yes, you have a list, so I’m supposed to say to you all, and are you ready for this, what do you think of this proposal? Does it address the reasons why perhaps people aren’t having children these days? But aren’t you excited about it!?’

The White House has been hearing a plethora of proposals on measures to reverse declining birthrates, reported the New York Times.
One proposal would reserve 30 percent of scholarships for the prestigious Fulbright fellowship for applicants who are married or have children.
Another would give a $5,000 cash ‘baby bonus’ to every American mother after delivery, the outlet reported.
A third calls for government funded programs to educate women on their menstrual cycles so they can better understand when they are ovulating and able to conceive.
Trump, who referred to himself as the ‘father of fertilization’ on the campaign trial, signed an executive order that seeks to make in-vitro fertilization more accessible in February.
In 2024, the US finally reversed the years-long trend with a one percent increase in births when compared to 2023, according to provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control.
