Fox News‘s Peter Doocy was left screaming for President Trump when a bird unexpectedly landed on his head live on TV.
‘Oh! Oh my gosh,’ fellow on-air talent Ainsley Earhardt could be heard saying, during the decidedly impromptu moment on Friday’s Fox and Friends.
Co-host Lawrence B. Jones was left laughing – and Brian Kilmeade cackling as well.
All were safe on a sofa in New York, as Doocy’s struggles were streamed in real-time.
‘Just another day on live tv!’ the program’s X account asserted afterward, sharing the unscripted occurrence.
It came as Doocy reported live from DC, and was fielding a final question by Earhardt about a recent Truth Social post from the president about the US’s emerging trade war with China.
‘That is a great question, Ainsley,’ he began – before frantically flailing when the small winged critter suddenly found footing on his head.
It had flew in from behind, catching the seasoned senior White House correspondent by surprise – creating a clearly viral moment in the process.
Doocy had a bird unexpectedly land on his head for a few seconds Friday live on Fox and Friends
The moment left the shows hosts Lawrence B. Jones, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade all cackling – at their co-worker’s expense.
‘A bird just landed on my head!’ Doocy was heard telling the hosts, who were also left visibly shocked by the bird quickly perching on their fellow colleague’s head before flying away.
‘What is going on?’ Kilmeade could be heard asking, as the animal flew back in frame.
Following some more ducking and weaving from the correspondent, the bird was shooed away.
‘I did not like that at all,’ Doocy said after the scare – attempting to fix his hair while assessing what had just happened.
‘The back of your head, your hair is standing up now,’ Kilmeade couldn’t help but comment, as Jones chimed in, ‘You got good the hair, dude.’
‘That is probably so dirty,’ Doocy himself laughed – apparently more repulsed than rattled.
‘Got to do the hair now,’ Jones joked, as Doocy turned to show cowlicks left by the bird’s visit.
Laughs rang out all the while, leading a smiling Doocy to make light of the incident.

Even he managed to make light of the incident – by making a sarcastic plea to President Trump to have the National Park Service ‘do something about these birds’
‘President Trump, if you’re upstairs watching, we’ve got to do something about these birds!’ he said, making a sarcastic plea to District of Columbia’s National Park Service.
‘Where is the park service? They are always out here in the street and blowing, except when the birds are landing on my head.’
Keeping things topical, Kilmeade cracked a joke, saying, ‘I hope it didn’t have the flu.’
‘Yeah, great,’ a not-as-enthused Doocy replied. ‘Can we get some shampoo guy down here?’
