Rock & Roll Baby Arrives! Maggie Rose Welcomes Son in a Whirlwind Week of Love, Chaos, and Magic

Nashville just got a little louder—and a lot more adorable.

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Maggie Rose, 36, has officially joined the ranks of rock star moms, welcoming her first child with husband Austin Marshall in what she calls “the most wonderful and crazy week” of their lives.

Born on Sunday, April 13, at 8:46 p.m. in Nashville, Tennessee, baby Graham Thomas Marshall made a powerful debut—fitting for the child of one of Americana’s boldest voices.

The exclusive announcement, shared with TH Magazine, marks a new chapter for the powerhouse vocalist known for pushing genre boundaries—and now, for tackling diaper duty with just as much passion.

“This week with him has been the most wonderful and crazy week of our lives,” Maggie shared, glowing with post-baby joy.

“He is healthy and happy, and Austin and I feel a love for him that we have never known.”

Since baby Graham’s arrival, the trio has been basking in the glow of spring sunshine—and adapting to the realities of newborn life.

“We’ve taken a few walks in the beautiful spring weather, and we’re all finding the swing of things a little more each day,” she said.

“He eats constantly and is already much squishier than the day he arrived.”

And it seems the universe had a few tricks up its sleeve for the big day.

“One of the nurses who helped us with the delivery was named Maggie Rose!” the new mom marveled.

“And another had the same middle name as Graham’s father, Thomas Austin.

It was a magical day, and every day since has been more so.”

Rose, who’s no stranger to emotional storytelling through music, is now telling a new kind of story—this time, as a mother.

And while she may be used to commanding stages, she’s now finding strength in quieter, more intimate moments.

“I’m feeling strong and grateful that he is here,” she said.

“And I can’t wait to have him side stage at his first show now that he is earth-side.

Maybe he’ll recognize the songs from all the times he’s been on stage already.”

Fans of the “Underestimate Me” singer will recall her joyful pregnancy announcement back in December 2024, when she and Marshall—her husband since 2016—shared their excitement about expanding their family.

“Austin and I are so excited about our son arriving in April!” Rose told TH at the time.

“I have always wanted to be a mother and I know my husband is going to be the best dad to our rock and roll baby.”

That “rock and roll baby” may have been cooking while Maggie was busy promoting No One Gets Out Alive, her critically acclaimed 2024 album that scored a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.

A fearless exploration of life, loss, and legacy, the album now feels more prophetic than ever.

“Our lives are going to get even crazier,” she said, “but taking on those big plans in life was such a central theme of this last album, so it feels serendipitous that we received the fantastic news during this time.”

Known for her genre-defying spirit and powerhouse vocals, Rose is no stranger to reinvention.

But motherhood? That’s a new kind of challenge—and one she’s embracing with gratitude and grace.

She even joked about her new lifestyle: “I’m a professional napper now, especially on show days,” she laughed.

“But I feel grateful for how well I’ve felt throughout the pregnancy.”

With baby Graham now in her arms and the spring breeze at her back, Maggie Rose is stepping into her most important role yet.

And if her journey so far is any indication, she’s going to rock this one, too.

For now, the artist is soaking up every precious moment—and thanking fans for the outpouring of love.

“Thanks to everyone for the love and well wishes,” she said.

“We’re in awe of this little human.”

Congratulations to Maggie, Austin, and baby Graham—welcome to the world, little rock star.
