Lisa Boothe Snubbed by ‘The View’ Over Vaccine Refusal—”A Giant Middle Finger to Biden’s Tyranny”

Fox News firebrand Lisa Marie Boothe was in serious talks to replace Meghan McCain as The View’s conservative co-host—but her refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine shut those discussions down instantly.

According to insiders, Boothe, 36, had been interviewed by ABC News executives earlier this year as part of a broad search to fill McCain’s vacated seat. But when she made it clear that she would not comply with Disney’s strict vaccine mandate, her candidacy became a “moot point” and a “non-starter.”

Boothe’s Blunt Vaccine Stance Torpedoes Her Candidacy

ABC’s parent company, Disney, requires all U.S. employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including those working in The View’s New York studio. Boothe, who is currently based in Miami, had no intention of complying.

She made her stance abundantly clear in an interview with Dan Bongino last fall, where she declared that she had deliberately avoided the vaccine “as a giant middle finger to Joe Biden’s tyranny.”

Not stopping there, Boothe penned an op-ed for Newsweek titled, “Why I’m Not Vaccinated”, where she doubled down:

“In a sane society, a personal decision like this would not warrant a column, or even an explanation. But we do not live in a sane society. As a healthy 36-year-old woman, COVID-19 does not pose a statistically meaningful threat to my life. I have a 99.97 percent chance of survival.”

Boothe continued, slamming vaccine mandates as “immoral” and arguing:

“The government does not own us. I reject mandates because I believe in freedom. I am praying the rest of the country wakes up from this psychosis that has taken over.”

ABC’s Search for a ‘Unicorn’ Conservative Continues

Boothe isn’t the only right-wing pundit to clash with The View over vaccine mandates. Former Fox host and past View panelist Jedediah Bila was also sidelined due to her unvaccinated status, forcing her to appear remotely.

During her guest appearance, Bila was harshly confronted by co-host Sunny Hostin, who accused her of spreading “misinformation” and slammed her decision to remain unvaccinated.

Boothe’s rejection follows reports that Fox News personality Kat Timpf also turned down McCain’s former seat—not due to vaccine requirements, but because of The View‘s alleged hostility toward conservatives.

With McCain’s dramatic exit—she claims Joy Behar “bullied” her so badly she once vomited backstage—the show has been rotating conservative guest hosts, including Trump aide Alyssa Farah, Condoleezza Rice, and Carly Fiorina.

However, ABC remains stuck in a tough position, seeking a conservative voice who won’t alienate their liberal audience—a near-impossible task, according to insiders.

“They are really looking for a unicorn,” one former View staffer told The Daily Beast. “They want someone who will fight—but not too hard, because they don’t want it to be ugly and bickering.”

For now, The View remains without a permanent conservative co-host, as ABC struggles to find someone who fits their impossible mold.
