Jimmy Kimmel Obliterates Trump Over Bizarre Claim: “No, Mr. President, Mice Aren’t Getting Gender Reassignment Surgery”

“Are They Really This Dumb, Or Do They Think We Are?” Kimmel Mocks Trump’s Viral Lie About Biden Spending $8 Million on ‘Transgender Mice’

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel did not hold back Tuesday night, torching former President Donald Trump for what he called one of the most absurd lies to ever come from the MAGA universe.

During a recent speech, Trump claimed that President Joe Biden’s administration spent a staggering “$8 million on making mice transgender” — a statement so outrageous it sent fact-checkers scrambling and comedians salivating.

“This is real,” Trump insisted during his speech. But Kimmel wasn’t about to let that go unchallenged.

“No, it’s not real. It’s not even close to real,” Kimmel fired back on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “The government spent money on transgenic mice — genetically engineered for medical research — not transgender mice. There’s a difference, believe it or not.”

Kimmel ridiculed the former president for either deliberately spreading misinformation or simply being too ignorant to understand basic science.

“You hear a president say this and you think, ‘Well, it sounds crazy… but maybe there’s some kernel of truth.’ Nope. Nothing. Not even a crumb,” Kimmel said. “These are lab mice designed to help cure diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s — not to join a rodent pride parade.”

Mocking Trump’s followers, Kimmel continued: “Do they know this and lie anyway? Or are they genuinely too dumb to Google it? Or worse — do they think we’re that dumb?”

Kimmel couldn’t resist taking another jab: “They’re not turning Mickeys into Minnies, OK? They’re trying to cure heart disease. Which, if I were Donald Trump, I’d want them to hurry up with.”

Fact-checkers from outlets like CNN quickly debunked Trump’s claim, clarifying that the referenced research involved studying the effects of hormone therapy on lab mice in the context of HIV vaccine development — not gender reassignment experiments on animals.

Despite the absurdity of the claim, Trump’s speech still drew massive viewership — averaging 36.6 million people — outpacing President Biden’s last State of the Union address but falling far short of Trump’s 2017 ratings peak.

Kimmel ended his monologue with his signature deadpan: “Honestly, if the worst thing Joe Biden is doing is trying to cure diseases with science — we should be so lucky.”
