Toobin Calls It a ‘Stupid Mistake’

In a statement to Vice, the 60-year-old journalist acknowledged the incident and apologized, claiming it was unintentional.

“I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends, and co-workers,” Toobin said.

He further explained that he had no idea his camera was still on, believing that his video had been muted during the call.

Neither Toobin nor his representatives provided additional comments when reached by TH.
