Jeanine Pirro Takes Over The Five as Permanent Co-Host—Shakes Up FOX News Lineup!

FOX News has made a game-changing announcement: Jeanine Pirro is now a full-time co-host of The Five, solidifying her presence as one of the most vocal conservative voices on the network.

The move, confirmed by FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott, places Pirro alongside Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jesse Watters as permanent members of the top-rated afternoon panel show.

Meanwhile, the show’s “liberal chair” will continue to rotate among three co-hosts: Harold Ford Jr., Geraldo Rivera, and Jessica Tarlov, following the departure of Juan Williams.

The revamped lineup is set to make its official debut on January 24.

Jeanine Pirro has been named a permanent co-host of Fox News' afternoon panel show 'The Five,' but will give up her weekend show 'Justice with Judge Jeanine'

Pirro Leaves Justice with Judge Jeanine for The Five

Pirro, a FOX News veteran since 2006, has frequently filled in as a guest host on The Five. However, her new role means she will give up her long-running weekend show, Justice with Judge Jeanine.

While stepping away from her weekend slot, Pirro will continue to host Castles USA on FOX Nation, the network’s streaming platform.

The changes of the 'The Five' will debut on January 24. That same evening, Jesse Watters' new program, 'Jesse Watters Primetime,' will kick off in the 7 p.m. time slot. He will continue co-hosting The Five in addition to his new show.

Jesse Watters Expands His Influence—Primetime Beckons!

January 24 also marks the launch of Jesse Watters Primetime at 7 PM, giving Watters a solo platform in addition to his The Five duties.

Watters, a FOX News rising star, started as a production assistant in 2002 before skyrocketing to on-air prominence with his no-nonsense, often combative man-on-the-street interviews. His rapid ascent now sees him anchoring one of the most coveted time slots on the network.

“Jesse’s versatility and hosting acumen have grown exponentially over the last five years, and he has developed a deep connection to the audience,” said CEO Suzanne Scott.

Pirro’s Trump Connection & Controversies

A fierce defender of Donald Trump, Pirro has long been one of the former president’s most outspoken allies on FOX News. Trump once promoted her book from the Oval Office, and she has been a regular guest at Mar-a-Lago.

Her unwavering support for Trump also made her a target in a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit against FOX News, as she was among those accused of spreading election-related misinformation. The network has filed multiple motions to dismiss the case.

Pirro was temporarily taken off-air in 2019 after she made controversial comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar, prompting Trump to tweet: “Bring back Judge Jeanine!”

The Five’s Meteoric Rise

The Five has become one of FOX News’ biggest hits, often drawing more viewers than even the network’s primetime lineup. The show’s unique format—four conservative voices versus one liberal—has fueled fiery debates, viral moments, and massive ratings.

With Pirro now a permanent fixture, the show is expected to get even more explosive.

New gig: Fox News has given its 7pm Eastern hour on weeknights to opinion host Jesse Watters

Meanwhile, the network continues its push toward opinion-driven content. Jesse Watters’ new primetime slot strengthens FOX’s right-wing lineup, which now runs back-to-back with Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham.

As FOX News doubles down on its biggest personalities, one thing is clear: The Five is about to get even louder.
