The Grammy-winning country superstar has transformed her massive 400-acre estate in Franklin, Tennessee, into a thriving farm filled with organic gardens, a high-tech greenhouse, a chicken coop, and even cows gifted by her husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher.

A Country Girl at Heart

Underwood, who grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, has fully embraced rural living.

She frequently shares glimpses of her breathtaking property, where she grows her own fruits and vegetables, cares for animals, and works toward total self-sufficiency.

“My garden is one of my happy places… when I’m getting my hands dirty, it’s my time for thought and reflection,” she shared on Instagram, showcasing the lush greenery surrounding her estate.

Back in 2011, shortly after their fairy-tale wedding, Underwood and Fisher purchased their sprawling property for $3 million.

At the time, it was just an empty landscape, but the couple had big plans.

In a 2012 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, they excitedly pointed out where they envisioned their dream home, complete with horse stables, a scenic lake, and rolling hills.

Underwood’s passion for gardening led her to install a custom-built greenhouse in 2023 with the help of Epic Gardening, a California-based company.

“I’m obsessed with it,” she admitted.

Designed with a mix of raised beds, potting stations, and citrus trees, the greenhouse allows her to grow fresh produce year-round.

“My goal is to not buy food from the store anymore,” she revealed on The Dr. Axe Show in 2023.

Farm Life: Chickens, Cows & Even Beekeeping

Underwood doesn’t just grow food—she raises animals, too! Since 2018, she’s been caring for chickens that provide fresh eggs daily.

For Christmas in 2020, Fisher surprised her with two cows, which their son, Isaiah, adorably named Brownie and Oreo.

The couple also took up beekeeping and hinted that donkeys might be the next addition to their farm.

Their estate is a haven for nature, boasting apple and peach trees, blueberry and blackberry bushes, and an ever-expanding variety of homegrown ingredients.
