Fox News’ Kat Timpf Ambushed at NYC Event: “I’ve Had It With This Insanity”

Fox News host Kat Timpf was shocked and outraged after a man ambushed her at a political event in Brooklyn, dousing her with an entire bottle of water before fleeing the scene.

Timpf, a co-host of The Fox News Specialists, recounted the disturbing attack on Twitter, describing how she was approached by a stranger during an event at Union Pool in Williamsburg on Monday night.

Ambushed Before Taking the Stage

The 28-year-old libertarian was scheduled to speak about criminal justice reform at the event, which was held in support of her friend, Brooklyn borough president hopeful Ben Kissel.

But before she could take the podium, a man dumped a full 1.5-liter bottle of water on her, drenching her completely.

“When I turned to look at him, he splashed even more water directly in my face before running out,” Timpf recalled.

“I’m Shocked. I’m Stunned.”

Timpf said she was so shaken by the incident that she was unable to deliver her speech.

“I’m shocked, I’m stunned. I’m obviously upset,” she wrote.

She expressed frustration over what she called the “disgusting, insane, cruel climate” of political discourse today.

“Verbal attacks on Twitter aren’t enough anymore? I’ve had it. I’m an actual human being, with a soul, a family, and feelings.”

After detailing the incident on Twitter, several journalists responded with kind words, including fellow Fox News host Geraldo Rivera and CNN's Jake Tapper (above)

Targeted for Her Views?

Timpf, who identifies as a libertarian, said she regularly faces criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. However, she remains uncertain why this man specifically targeted her.

“I have no idea what his issue with me was. If he wanted to change my mind, he could have at least expressed his argument before or after assaulting me.”

She speculated that the attack was less about a specific issue and more about the toxic political climate in general.

“It’s no longer about issues. It’s about either blindly supporting or blindly hating people. And for whatever reason, this guy decided that I am someone he hates.

Timpf Slams “Infantile” Political Climate

Furious over the attack, Timpf called out the growing hostility in political discourse:

“It’s not activism. It’s not ‘in support of’ anything. It’s just sickness and cruelty. Everyone needs to do better than this infantile b*****.**”

She ended her message with a blunt demand for civility:

“I’ve had it with people behaving like animals. Get it together. Grow up.

Caught on Camera – But Will Anything Be Done?

The attack was caught on surveillance footage, which has been turned over to police.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s. Timpf filed a police report, though she expressed skepticism about whether authorities would truly investigate the matter.

“I think they watched the video just to humor me,” she told The Cut.

“Maybe I’ll just have to wear a raincoat every day—or just walk to work in a hazmat suit.

Support from Fellow Journalists

After sharing her experience, Timpf received an outpouring of support from fellow journalists, including Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera and CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Tapper called the attack “unacceptable and disgusting,” adding:

“I’m sorry you went through that. He was a coward and a loser. Stay strong.”

Rivera didn’t hold back either, tweeting:

“Dude that blindsided @KatTimpf is a piece of s*.** Want to meet him someday.”

A Sign of the Times?

Timpf’s shocking experience has sparked a larger conversation about the escalating hostility in political discourse.

As tensions continue to boil over, one thing is clear: civil discussion is being replaced by personal attacks—both online and in real life.
