Fox News Host Kat Timpf Reveals Shock Breast Cancer Diagnosis Just Hours Before Giving Birth

In a heartbreaking and surprising revelation, FOX News host Kat Timpf shared with her followers that she was diagnosed with breast cancer just hours before the birth of her first child. The 36-year-old star of Gutfeld! opened up about the unexpected and challenging turn of events, expressing gratitude for the support from her fans while navigating this difficult time.

“I welcomed my first child into the world last week,” Timpf posted. “About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.”

The diagnosis came as a shock to the new mother, who had been working up until her third trimester of pregnancy. Doctors have informed Timpf that her cancer is at stage zero, and while it is still early, they are confident it has not spread.

Double Mastectomy Scheduled for February

Despite the good news regarding the cancer’s stage, Timpf will undergo a double mastectomy in February as part of her treatment plan. She expressed a mix of emotions, including gratitude for the support she’s received but also an overwhelming sense of being inundated with advice from well-meaning followers.

In a post shared from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, one of the top cancer treatment centers in the world, Timpf wrote: “Once I recover from childbirth, my mole removal scars heal, I get a double mastectomy, get rid of my cancer, have breast reconstruction surgery & am physically capable of getting back in the gym it’s OVER FOR U B*****Z.”

Facing Unsolicited Medical Advice

The response from her followers has been overwhelming, with many offering their own medical experiences and suggestions. Timpf acknowledged the kindness of the outpouring support but took a moment to address the unsolicited advice she had received.

“First of all, thank you so much for all the support, it’s meant so much to me,” Timpf said in a video update. “But I wanted to address a few things because I’ve also been overwhelmed with, I guess you could say, medical advice?”

Some followers criticized the decision for a double mastectomy, suggesting that less invasive options, such as a lumpectomy, could be viable given Timpf’s stage-zero diagnosis. Others, identifying as nurses, also questioned whether the procedure was too extreme for her condition.

“I just want to say, trust me, there’s no one for whom that seems more extreme than me,” Timpf replied in her video. “I don’t take cutting my t*** off lightly… as a general rule, I don’t think any woman does.”

“I have been very lucky to have a team that is very knowledgeable on this,” she said. “The focus of all these conversations is what’s the best thing to do to keep me alive so I’m around for my son for a long time.”
