Elon Musk Slams Jimmy Kimmel as ‘Pathetic Clown’ After Host Jokes About Violent Tesla Attacks

Tesla CEO Fires Back After Kimmel Mocks Vandalism Amid Rising Anti-Tesla Protests

Elon Musk didn’t hold back this week, blasting late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel as a “pathetic clown” after Kimmel appeared to downplay a wave of violent attacks targeting Tesla dealerships and vehicles across the country.

Jimmy Kimmel mocks Tesla attacks with company's 'disastrous' stock

During Tuesday’s monologue on his show, Kimmel mocked both Tesla’s plummeting stock price and the recent acts of vandalism against the electric car giant — drawing cheers from his audience.

“Tesla stock is down — almost disastrously so,” Kimmel joked, pausing as his audience erupted in applause at the mention of Musk’s financial woes.

But the punchline that really caught fire online came when Kimmel sarcastically addressed the attacks on Tesla vehicles.

“Please, whatever you do, don’t vandalize Tesla cars,” he said with a dramatic pause, staring into the camera — a line many interpreted as veiled encouragement rather than condemnation.

The vandalism has escalated in recent weeks, with multiple reports of Tesla stores being spray-painted with words like “Resist,” vehicles being keyed or smashed, and even cars set on fire in cities like Las Vegas.

Musk wasted no time responding on X (formerly Twitter), posting a blunt takedown of Kimmel:

“He’s such an unfunny jerk. Zero class.”

Musk later elaborated in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, expressing shock at the increasing hostility directed toward his company.

“It’s surreal — these people claim to be about tolerance and empathy, but they’re firebombing cars,” Musk said.

“I don’t care what your politics are — this is criminal.”

Officials Call Attacks ‘Domestic Terrorism’

Attorney General Pam Bondi echoed Musk’s concern, calling the coordinated attacks on Tesla properties “domestic terrorism” in a fiery statement Tuesday night.

“The Department of Justice has already filed charges against several individuals,” Bondi said.

“And let me be clear — we will track down those behind these violent acts, including anyone financing or organizing them.”

Authorities have yet to determine the political motivations of the suspects arrested so far, though online activists have claimed responsibility for some attacks as protests against Musk’s controversial political stances and cost-cutting measures at Tesla.

Kimmel Silent After Musk’s Fury

As of Wednesday morning, Jimmy Kimmel had not publicly responded to Musk’s comments or the growing backlash online.

Social media erupted with heated debate over the controversy, with some defending Kimmel’s comedic right to mock public figures, while others accused him of “irresponsibly glorifying violence” against private property.

For Musk, however, the message was crystal clear.

“Mock me all you want,” Musk posted.

“But encouraging violence against innocent people’s cars and livelihoods? That’s beyond comedy.

That’s cowardice.”
