Dylan Dreyer Shocks Fans with Family Shower Confession: “I Don’t Care If My Kids See Me Naked!”

TODAY show host Dylan Dreyer has raised eyebrows after revealing she regularly showers with all three of her young sons—including her seven-year-old—because it makes parenting easier.

The 42-year-old meteorologist admitted she’s a “very efficient mom” and tries to get all of her kids cleaned up at once, though she acknowledged that things are “getting a little weird” now that her oldest, Calvin, is seven.

Dreyer opened up about her unconventional approach to bath time while weighing in on Bradley Cooper’s recent remarks about growing up showering with his father and feeling totally comfortable being naked at home.

Today host Dylan Dreyer has revealed that she tries to 'get all three' of her sons in the shower with her every night so that she can get the kids 'all bathed at once'

“I Just Want to Get It Done!”

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com at the 2024 Hudson River Park Friends Playground Committee Luncheon in Manhattan, Dreyer explained her practical mindset.

“When I have to shower at night, if I can get all three in there with me, we’re good to go! It’s all about efficiency,” she said.

However, she admitted that her eldest son is starting to opt out of the group showers.

“It’s getting a little weird now that my oldest is seven,” she shared.

“So he doesn’t do the shower thing anymore—he’ll be in the bath while I take a shower.

But I put the towel on pretty quickly, I don’t linger.

Meanwhile, Dreyer said her younger sons, Oliver, four, and Russell, two, have no problem running around naked, laughing, “They don’t care at all! They’re just so proud of their little bodies.

Balancing Work, Motherhood, and Total Chaos

Dreyer, who married NBC producer and cameraman Brian Fichera in 2012, admitted that juggling a demanding broadcast career with raising three energetic boys leaves her “beyond overwhelmed” at times.

The TV star, pictured here with her boys on Christmas Day 2023, said she has to 'compartmentalize' when juggling her career and motherhood

“I have to compartmentalize because if I think of everything at once, I feel like I’m drowning,” she confessed.

Her daily routine is a whirlwind of parenting duties:

✅ School pickups
✅ Nap time
✅ Cooking meals
✅ Breaking up fights

By the end of the day, Dreyer reaches her breaking point.

The 42-year-old meteorologist spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com at the 2024 Hudson River Park Friends Playground Committee Luncheon

“They’re boys, they’re loud, and eventually, I just snap and say, ‘EVERYBODY STOP TALKING RIGHT NOW! I’m done!’”

She also revealed that at the end of a long day, she and her husband avoid conversation altogether.

“He comes home from work, and we both know—we don’t need to talk.  We’ve been talked to all day.  We’re DONE.

Raising Boys in a Changing World

Despite the challenges, Dreyer is focused on raising confident, kind young men.

“I’m so aware that I’m raising boys.

I don’t want them to feel lesser than.

I want them to be strong, to fight for what they want, but also to be kind.

Her children’s books reflect that philosophy, encouraging both boys and girls to “be themselves and go after their dreams.

Her Secret to Relaxation? A Romance Novel and Silence!

When she finally gets a moment to herself, Dreyer’s idea of paradise is PJs, bed, and a good romance novel.

“I just want to space out and not think!” she laughed.

But despite the chaos, she insists women can have it all—with the right mindset.

“There are times when I feel like I have it all. Do I want more? Yes! But right now, in this moment, I feel so blessed.
