Dylan Dreyer Reminisces About Magical Wedding Moment: ‘Pure Joy as Brian Spun Me Around the Dance Floor’

The Today meteorologist looks back on the unforgettable dance that perfectly ended her wedding day.

Dylan Dreyer is taking a walk down memory lane, cherishing one of the most special moments from her wedding to husband Brian Fichera.

The Today meteorologist, 42, tied the knot with Fichera in October 2012, just one month after she joined Weekend Today as a co-anchor.

Over a decade later, Dreyer still treasures one particular dance from their big day—one that happened completely spontaneously.

A Dance to Remember

While she loved every moment of her wedding, Dreyer says the final dance of the night stands out the most.

“At the end of our wedding, the DJ asked Brian what song to play last,” she recalled.

“Brian just randomly said, ‘Viva La Vida’ by Coldplay.“

The choice wasn’t planned—it was completely spur of the moment.

“We have no connection to the song, but it was absolutely perfect,” she continued.

“I tied up my long dress, and he just spun me around the dance floor.

 It was pure joy and love and happiness.“

Unlike many moments in her life, this one wasn’t captured on camera—making it even more intimate and special.

“We just totally absorbed the last moment of our perfect day!” she gushed.

Dylan Dreyer’s Latest Adventure: A Family Trip Gone Wrong

Though her wedding was picture-perfect, a more recent trip didn’t go quite as smoothly.

Last month, Dreyer and her family—all 16 of them—traveled to Catania, Sicily.

But right from the start, things took a turn for the worse.

“We’ve lost 13 pieces of luggage,” she revealed in a live call-in to the Today show.

While the airline managed to recover some of the missing bags—including those belonging to her husband and their sons—Dreyer’s own belongings were nowhere to be found.

But instead of letting the mishap ruin the trip, Dreyer got creative.

“The hotel was nice enough to give us nightgowns, so I took my bathrobe, tied it around my waist, and untucked the nightgown a little bit just to make myself a dress,” she explained, laughing.

Despite the luggage fiasco, the family still made the most of their Italian adventure.

“We’re having a great time,” Dreyer assured.

“At this point, we’re just laughing about it!”
