But @lesterholtnbc made me feel so comfortable from day 1,” Dylan wrote.

“It has been a true honor to work and grow alongside him, from hurricane coverage to @nbcnightlynews, to fun experiments on @nightlykids.

A true professional, an incredible interviewer and anchor, a friend.”

Dylan continued by congratulating Lester on the next phase of his career, which will see him stepping into a full-time role at Dateline NBC, where he has worked since 2011.

While he will step away from Nightly News, Lester’s passion for Dateline remains unwavering.

“I am excited to report I will be continuing as anchor of Dateline NBC, but for the first time in a full-time capacity,” he shared.
