The woman accused is Lisa Jeanine Findley, 52. Findley is accused of orchestrating an elaborate scheme to seize Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley, by claiming that his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, used the property as collateral for a loan she failed to repay before her death. However, investigators say no such loan was ever made.

According to prosecutors, Lisa Jeanine Findley posed as multiple employees of a fake private lending company called Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC.

She claimed that Lisa Marie Presley had borrowed $3.8 million from the company. After Lisa Marie Presley died in 2023, Findley attempted to use the situation to seek $2.85 million from the Presley family by filing false foreclosure documents in court.

Specifically, Findley created a series of fake documents, including foreclosure records and other legal documents, in an attempt to force the Presley family to pay a large sum of money to protect their ownership of Graceland.

However, this plan was stopped when Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Danielle Riley Keough, who inherited Graceland after her mother’s death, filed a lawsuit to stop the foreclosure.

In May 2024, the Tennessee Court of Chancery ruled that a foreclosure auction of Graceland would cause irreparable harm to Keough and decided to postpone the auction, which was seen as an important step in protecting the Presley family’s valuable assets.

Lisa Jeanine Findley is currently facing serious charges, including mail fraud and aggravated identity theft. She was arrested on August 17, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, and is scheduled to appear in federal court in Missouri later that afternoon.

No attorney has been listed for Lisa in court records.

Notably, when the plot was exposed in the media, Findley attempted to blame an “identity thief” in Nigeria. She sent letters to local courts, news outlets, and the Presley family, claiming that someone else had used her identity to carry out the plot.

However, investigators quickly determined that this was simply an attempt to cover up her own crimes.

Lisa Jeanine Findley’s case is being closely watched by law enforcement and the public. If convicted, she could face years in prison for fraud and identity theft. But the case also raises questions about property rights and how the legal system can deal with complex fraud schemes like this.
