Dolly Parton fans were left in shock as they watched her perform at the halftime show of the Commanders-Cowboys game.

The country music icon looked sensational as she took to the stage in a tiny blue crop top paired with a star print white waistcoat and bedazzled shorts.

She sent the crowds wild as she flaunted her phenomenal figure on the stage while delivering an energetic performance.

Yet fans were left in shock as they soon learned that the youthful performer is in fact 77 years old and were quick to share on X, formerly Twitter: ‘Dolly Parton at 77 and me almost half her age’; ‘When you see Dolly Parton in a dallas cowboys cheerleader outfit then find out she’s 77’;

Fans of the singer were quick to leap to the country crooner’s defence, noting how ‘gorgeous’ and ‘great’ she looked on the Dallas stage.

‘Joe Biden is 81. Donald Trump is 77. If we have to elect an old person, let it be Dolly Parton,’ one wrote, with the US elections fast approaching.

Another fan labelled her a ‘queen’, whilst one called her a ‘national treasure’ as the performance left the majority of fans impressed.

One person replied: ‘Yes..Dolly can pull this off with class.’

‘She’s as gorgeous as ever and even more beautiful on the inside,’ a user chimed.

A fourth wrote: ‘More power to her! She looks great!’

In the CBS booth, announcer Tony Romo couldn’t hide his enthusiasm discussing Dolly’s halftime Thanksgiving performance.

After watching the singer wow Dallas in her cheerleading outfit, Romo and Jim Nantz discussed the show in the booth – and the former made his feelings very clear.

‘She was wearing the… Cowboys cheerleading outfit,’ he began, while addressing Nantz in the booth. ‘You saw that coming, didn’t you?

Nantz then tried to steer the conversation by asking, ‘what do you think we’re going to see second half?’, but Romo wasn’t yet ready to move on, adding: ‘I mean, she looks amazing, right? She’s wonderful. Who doesn’t like Dolly Parton?’

The songwriter appeared at the halftime show as a part of The Salvation Army’s 133rd annual Red Kettle Campaign.

In a press statement, Dolly said it was ‘an honour’ to work with the organisation.

She said: ‘Those Red Kettles have long been a symbol of hope for our friends and neighbours who are facing hard times.

‘My goal is to encourage everyone who can to donate and support their neighbours in need. Every small act of generosity helps, and together, we can all love our neighbors this holiday season and beyond.’

Dolly sang two of her biggest hits, Jolene and 9 to 5, and also belted out’We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You, in front of a sold-out crowd in Texas.

The music icon’s live performance was a far cry from Jack Harlow’s, as the Detroit Lions were unimpressed by the rapper’s halftime appearance.
