David Stanley (85 years old) – Elvis Presley’s younger brother – said in the documentary Elvis’ Women broadcast on Amazon Prime about the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll”: “Love, hurt, pain, exposure made Elvis unable to bear it anymore.”

In the series, which premiered in May, David Stanley admitted his brother – star Elvis Presley – “could not go on with his life” because of fears his relationships with teenage girls would be exposed in a book.

David Stanley – a former member of Presley’s “entourage” – was at Graceland (USA) when the male singer died of a heart attack due to a drug overdose in August 1977.

“Elvis’ penchant for young girls, 15 or 16, made me sick,” his brother claimed in the series, calling it a “miracle” that the Can’t Help Falling In Love singer wasn’t exposed.

Stanley later alleged, “He got away with things most people dream of because they can’t do it: money, fortune, fame, and power.”

The documentary Elvis’ Women includes numerous interviews with women who claim to have been pursued by Presley as a young man, as well as a look at the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll”s relationship with Priscilla Presley.

Elvis married Priscilla Presley in 1967 when she was 21 and he was 32. They welcomed daughter Lisa Marie Presley the following year before divorcing in 1973.

The couple’s relationship will also be portrayed in Sophia Coppola’s film Priscilla , due for release next October.

Elvis Presley fans have slammed the upcoming film, calling it “terrible”. One told TMZ : “The set design is horrible, not like Graceland.”

For her part, Priscilla Presley has given her support to the film. She wrote on Instagram on June 22: “I am so excited to have the master Sofia Coppola interpret my book.

Sofia has a unique perspective and I have always admired her work. I am sure this film will take everyone on an emotional journey.”

Businesswoman Priscilla Presley (78 years old) and her late daughter once supported Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis movie , starring Austin Butler as the “King of Rock and Roll”, to be released in June 2022.

“I really didn’t know what to do with myself after seeing Elvis . It was unbelievable, so true, so real,” Lisa Marie said at a reception at the Golden Globes in January 2023, days before her death.

Following the death of singer Lisa Marie, Priscilla and her niece Riley Keough (Lisa Marie’s child) were involved in a legal battle over Lisa Marie’s will, eventually reaching a multi-million dollar settlement this month.

“Elvis Presley would be so proud. My niece and my team have worked diligently and tirelessly to resolve any misunderstandings as a family,” Priscilla wrote in a statement to reporters.
